Juan Vazquez, owner and CEO of Golden Management Inc., began his relationship with Midas in 1978. He worked for the largest Midas franchise in South Florida, at the time, as a technician. He helped introduce brake services to the franchise, which was new to Midas, where they predominately repaired mufflers and exhausts. One year later, in 1979 he was promoted to store manager and held this position for the next three years. Then, an opportunity presented itself that changed his life forever.

In 1982, he was presented with an opportunity to purchase a struggling Midas located on West 49th Street in Hialeah, Florida. Juan took the gamble, and with the aid of his brother Ruben Vazquez they were able to turn the shop around creating a success.

Thirteen months later, Juan Vazquez acquired another struggling Midas franchise in Carol City, Florida. After installing his successful business model, he was able to turn the business around. At the time, Juan had a very small staff that consisted of himself, his brother, and a few technicians. He was involved in every aspect of the business, performing repairs on customer’s vehicles and conducting all office and managerial duties.

After years of successfully running both the Hialeah and Carol City locations, Juan began expanding his business and broke ground on the Miramar, Florida location in 1995. Finally in 1998, the Miramar location was open for business. It didn’t take long for the Miramar location to become successful, joining the Carol City location as two of the most successful Midas franchises in the state of Florida.

Juan’s son Cristian began working for him part time in the year 2000. In 2004, he joined full time and became a vital asset to the company’s growth. A great business opportunity was presented to Juan in 2006 and he sold the property the Hialeah Midas sat on and moved the shop to Hialeah Gardens.

Then in 2007, in partnership with his son Cristian, they jointly purchased a Midas franchise in Davie, Florida.

In 2011, the family sold the Hialeah Gardens location and opened a new store in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

Juan Vazquez joined the IMDA (International Midas Dealer Association) in 1982, and was appointed to the board of directors in 1998. His shops have received numerous accolades and recognition, such as Dealer of the Year in 1988, and various regional and district awards, as well as numerous positive reviews from local publications. All of Juan’s shops are members of the local chapter of the Better Business Bureau.

Juan, his son Cristian and his brother Ruben are actively involved in all aspects of the Midas daily operations and can be found at various times of the day at each shop.
